I fell in love with the San Mateo coast when my family and I moved here
in 1988. Over the years, the community has grown and changed, but the Pacific Ocean and our beautiful beaches remain as inspiring as ever.
It was there that I began collecting sea shells and driftwood and then turning them into unique works of art. No two pieces are the same, because each one starts as a distinct creation of nature. I try to enhance that special character by adding imagery that brings out its uniqueness, or combining it with other pieces to fashion something completely new. 
I exhibit at art fairs and craft shows along the coast and in the Bay Area, I hope to meet you there someday. Just look for the Coastal Dawne booth, drop by and say hello!​
